The MC9090-G is a pistol-grip mobile computer designed for warehouse and logistics workers who scan barcodes continuously. Its integrated 1D SE1224 standard-range laser scanner reads codes at arm's length without alignment fuss. The 3.8" colour touch screen and 53-key VT keyboard let operators enter data while standing or moving. Windows CE 5.0 runs familiar terminal-emulation apps out of the box.

Scanner range and decode

The single specification that decides fit is the SE1224 standard-range laser engine. It reads common 1D symbologies at typical pick-and-pack distances but cannot capture 2D codes, damaged labels or long-range pallet tags. If your workflow relies on QR, DataMatrix or scanning from a forklift cab, this engine will not meet the need.

Build integration

The unit ships without a charger, so a compatible cradle or power supply must be sourced separately. An SD/MMC slot accepts removable storage for logs or firmware updates, while 802.11a/b/g radio and Bluetooth link to existing WLAN and peripheral infrastructure. The 624 MHz processor and 64 MB memory run standard CE terminal clients without additional hardware.
