Rugged Mobile Computer

The Motorola MC9190-GJ0SWGQA6WR is a new rugged terminal built for warehouse and logistics staff who need reliable data capture. It runs Windows Mobile 6.5 on an 806 MHz Marvell processor with 256 MB RAM and 1 GB flash storage. A 3.7 inch colour touch display at 480 x 640 resolution and a 53-key alphanumeric VT emulation keyboard support both touch and keypad workflows.

Long Range Scanning Focus

The integrated SE1524-ER long range 1D laser scanner suits workers reading barcodes from a distance on pallets or high shelves. Bluetooth and 802.11a/b/g wireless LAN keep the device connected across large facilities. Buyers who need 2D imaging, near-field scanning or a built-in CF card slot should look at other models because this unit lacks those features.

Memory And Expansion Headroom

The 256 MB RAM and 1 GB flash handle the operating system and typical terminal emulation apps with room for modest data logs. An SD or MMC card slot adds removable storage for larger databases or firmware updates. Heavy multimedia, modern web browsing or large local databases will exceed the available memory and processor capacity.
