On-Site Radio Pair for Business Teams

This Motorola RMM2050 two-pack supplies a matched set of license-free handhelds for crews that need instant voice coordination across a job site. Each unit ships with a lithium-ion battery, drop-in charger, holster and power supply so the radios are ready to deploy on arrival. The bundle targets security, maintenance, distribution and construction teams that rely on push-to-talk simplicity rather than cellular coverage.

Suited for MURS Channels and Noisy Environments

The radios operate on five MURS frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, including six customizable codes, to keep conversations clear of outside interference. A 1500 mW speaker cuts through high background noise on construction floors or warehouse aisles. Buyers who need trunked wide-area coverage, encrypted digital protocols or smartphone-linked dispatch should evaluate other platforms.

Rugged Build Rated for 13-Floor Penetration

Motorola specifies reliable indoor reach up to 13 floors or 220 000 square feet, backed by military-grade sealing against dust, wind, shock and vibration. The IP-rated chassis survives daily drops and weather exposure that would damage consumer-grade walkie-talkies. This floor-count figure is the primary gauge for deciding whether the pair matches the vertical scale of your facility.

Questions about this item

How long will the lithium-ion battery last before I need to replace it?

The included lithium-ion battery is rechargeable and designed for daily on-site use; typical service life spans several years before a replacement pack is needed.

What limits range first when I use the radios continuously across a large site?

The radios operate on five MURS FCC license-free frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, and the manufacturer rates coverage up to 13 floors or 220,000 square feet, so building density and interference become the practical limit.

How hot or noisy does the radio get during an all-day shift?

The rugged housing meets military specifications for dust, wind, shock and vibration, and the 1500 mW speaker delivers clear audio without feedback, so heat and noise stay low even during continuous operation.
