Motorola RMM2050 two-way radio for business teams

The Motorola RMM2050 is a 2-watt, five-channel two-way radio built for on-site business communication. It operates on five MURS frequencies that do not require an FCC licence and covers up to 220000 square feet or 13 floors indoors. The handset includes a 1500 MW speaker, tricolour LED status indicator, antibacterial coating, advanced VOX for hands-free use and a cloning function to copy settings quickly.

Check your frequency plan

This radio uses five preset MURS frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, including six customisable codes. Verify that these channels are clear for your site and that no other team is already using the same codes in the area. The unit is rated dust-proof and vibration-resistant, so confirm the mounting or carrying method suits the intended work zone. No programming cable or software is mentioned in the data, so plan for manual setup if you need to adjust the six custom codes.

Thermals noise and power draw in normal use

The 2-watt output keeps power consumption low during typical push-to-talk cycles, and the long-life battery supports extended shifts without frequent recharging. The 1500 MW speaker delivers clear audio at conversational volumes, while the tricolour LED provides silent status feedback. Dust-proof and vibration-resistant construction means the chassis runs cool and quiet even in demanding indoor or warehouse conditions.
