On-site radio bundle for business teams

This pack supplies four Motorola RMM2050 two-way radios and four HKLN4604 swivel earpieces with in-line microphones and push-to-talk buttons. It is built for security, maintenance, distribution and construction crews who need instant voice coordination across a work site. Each radio operates on five MURS FCC license-free frequencies with 219 PL/DPL codes, including six customizable codes to reduce interference. HTML-based customer programming software allows channel announcements that keep hands free for the task at hand.

Audio output and rugged sealing

A built-in 1500MW speaker delivers clear audio in noisy conditions such as construction sites without distracting feedback. The radio meets military specifications for sealing against dust, supporting reliable operation in dirty or outdoor environments. Each unit includes a rechargeable lithium-ion battery, drop-in tray charger, holster and power supply so the kit is ready for daily shift use. The earpiece adds discreet listening and hands-free transmission for quieter work areas.

Range and sustained operation

The manufacturer rates coverage up to 13 floors or 220,000 ft in typical workplace settings, giving a practical benchmark for multi-level buildings or large warehouses. License-free MURS frequencies avoid recurring fees and simplify fleet management across multiple locations. Customizable channel announcements and the rugged dust-sealed chassis help maintain consistent communication through extended shifts without frequent reconfiguration.

Questions about this item

How do I set up the drop-in tray charger and lithium-ion battery for the RMM2050, and what step is often missed?

Insert the battery into each radio, seat the radio in its tray charger, and connect the power supply. The step often missed is fully charging the lithium-ion battery before first use to calibrate the fuel gauge.

Which parts of the RMM2050 bundle will need replacement after heavy daily use?

The lithium-ion battery in each radio will degrade over time and need replacement. The HKLN4604 swivel earpiece cables and inline microphone can wear from repeated flexing and should be swapped when audio quality drops.

What range limit appears first when using the RMM2050 continuously inside a large building?

The radio is rated for up to 13 floors or 220,000 sq ft of coverage; dense concrete or steel structures will reduce that effective range before the five MURS frequencies or 219 PL/DPL codes become a factor.
