Two-pack UHF business radios

This bundle supplies two Motorola RMU2080d two-way radios for teams that need immediate, licence-free voice coordination across a site. Each handset operates on 99 UHF business-exclusive frequencies and supports 219 PL/DPL codes, six of which are customizable for clearer channels. The front-panel display shows battery level and active channel at a glance. A 1500 mW speaker delivers audio that cuts through high-noise environments such as construction or distribution yards.

Bundled power and carry accessories

Two rechargeable lithium-ion batteries and two drop-in tray chargers with power supplies keep both units running through consecutive shifts without hunting for cables. Two belt holsters let users clip the radios securely while moving between floors or outdoor zones. The charger trays seat each handset upright, so contacts stay clean and charging starts automatically when the radio is returned to the dock.

Rugged construction for daily site use

The chassis meets military standards for shock, vibration, dust and moisture resistance, so repeated drops and exposure to weather do not interrupt service. A fixed antenna and sealed speaker grille prevent debris ingress during material handling or vehicle mounting. Compact dimensions allow the radio to sit in a tool belt or vest pocket without snagging, while the display remains readable in direct sunlight or low light.

Questions about this item

How long does the included lithium-ion battery last before it needs replacing?

The rechargeable lithium-ion battery is designed for daily shift use; typical service life is several hundred charge cycles before capacity drops enough to warrant a replacement pack.

What limits continuous transmission time on the RMU2080d?

The radio's duty cycle and the 1500 mW speaker output restrict non-stop talk time; extended key-downs will trigger thermal protection and reduce transmit power.

How much heat and noise does the drop-in tray charger produce when both radios charge overnight?

The tray charger runs silently with only a low-level warmth; the radios themselves emit no fan noise and stay cool to the touch during all-day operation.
