  • Front lip adds extra coverage under the desk edge
  • Transparent design blends with any room décor

Clear protection for hard floors

The Mount-It MI-7818 chair mat is designed for hardwood, tile and similar hard surfaces in home or office settings. A textured non-slip surface keeps the mat from shifting while you work. The clear finish blends with any décor without drawing attention. A front lip extends coverage beneath the desk edge where the chair pulls in closest.

Replaces worn or missing floor coverings

Upgrade from a cracked mat or bare floor when scratches, scuffs or sliding become noticeable. The jump is worth it if your current protection has curled edges or no longer grips the surface. Buyers who need coverage for carpeted floors will not be served by this model.

Stays flat and grippy under daily rolling

The mat resists curling and maintains its grip during repeated chair movement throughout the day. Surface texture prevents the chair from skating during sustained use. The lip continues to shield the floor even when the chair is held close to the desk for long periods.

Questions about this item

Does the 47 x 35.5 in mat need a specific floor type or adhesive to stay flat?

The MI-7818 is designed for hardwood, tile and other hard floors; its textured non-slip surface grips without glue or tape.

How do I install the MI-7818 and what step do people skip?

Unroll it on a clean floor, let it relax flat for a few hours, then position the lip under the desk edge — skipping the relaxation step leaves curled corners.

When will the MI-7818 need replacement and what should I watch for?

Replace it when the textured surface wears smooth, the lip cracks or the mat no longer grips the floor, typically after several years of daily chair traffic.
