Wired Remote for Zoom and Sony Recorders

The Movo RC-X is a wired remote controller designed for Zoom H6, H5, H4n Pro, H2n and Sony PCM-M10, PCM-D50, PCM-D100 portable recorders. It provides physical buttons for Record, Play, Pause, Stop, Fast-forward, Rewind and marker functions. The unit draws power directly from the recorder so no batteries are required. It suits field recordists who need to operate the device without introducing handling noise.

Check Recorder Model and Port Access

Verify that your recorder appears in the supported list before ordering. The package includes two connector cables to match the different remote ports used across the compatible Zoom and Sony models. Ensure the recorder’s remote jack is free of debris and that the cable length of 101 cm reaches your intended operating position. This accessory is not for users whose recorders lack a wired remote input or use a different connector type.

Consistent Operation During Long Sessions

Because the RC-X is passive and cable-powered, its response remains identical from the first minute to the hundredth minute of a session. There is no battery drain to degrade button reliability or indicator brightness over time. The wired link eliminates latency or drop-outs that can affect wireless remotes during continuous recording. It is not suited for situations where the operator must be farther than the fixed cable allows.
