Stereo X/Y Condenser Microphone

The Movo VXR300 captures broadcast-quality audio directly to compatible Nikon DSLR cameras and camcorders. Its dual-channel X/Y configuration with super-cardioid polar pattern records clear dialogue while rejecting off-axis sound. The compact design weighs 135g and measures 151 x 65 x 73mm, keeping rigs lightweight and unobtrusive during shoots.

Rugged ABS Build With Integrated Shock Mount

A rugged ABS housing protects the capsule assembly while an integrated shock mount suppresses handling and vibration noise. The microphone mounts via accessory shoe or quarter-inch thread and connects through a 3.5mm mini-pin plug. Power comes from two AAA batteries, and both a standard windscreen and outdoor wind muff are included for indoor and exterior recording.

Questions about this item

What does the 3.5mm mini-pin connector limit in practice?

The 3.5mm mini-pin plug carries an unbalanced stereo signal and caps usable cable length at about three metres before noise and level loss become noticeable.

What mounting hardware does the 151 x 65 x 73 mm body require?

It fits any standard accessory shoe and also has a 1/4 inch thread on the integrated shock mount for boom poles or tripods.

How do you install the two AAA cells without losing the battery-door spring?

Slide the bottom door toward the rear, insert cells matching the polarity diagram inside the compartment, then slide the door forward until it clicks — do not force it sideways or the spring can pop out.
