4-port Modbus gateway for serial networks

The MGate MB3480 connects up to four RS-232/422/485 serial devices to a single Ethernet network. It translates Modbus RTU or ASCII traffic into Modbus TCP so legacy field equipment can be managed from modern SCADA or HMI software. Engineers commissioning new sites or extending brown-field plants use it to avoid rewiring existing serial loops.

Replaces multi-drop serial concentrators

A single Ethernet uplink replaces a daisy-chain of RS-485 converters and removes the distance and node-count limits of copper serial buses.
