Compact 42 Inch Canopy

The MRTLLOA MC-Black is a compact automatic umbrella that opens to a 42 inch canopy. It is designed for adults who need portable rain or sun protection that fits in a purse, briefcase or car door pocket. The 11.8 inch folded length and 14 ounce weight make it easy to carry daily. It suits commuters and travellers who want quick one-hand deployment.

Coverage for Two Adults

The 42 inch (106 cm) diameter canopy provides enough coverage to shelter two adults comfortably. The superior pongee cloth causes rain to run off the surface and dry quickly. Eight reinforced fiberglass ribs give the frame flexibility in windy conditions. The structure is not intended for severe storm use where larger or vented canopies would be required.

Lightweight Frame and Auto Mechanism

The frame weighs 1.2 lbs and uses fiberglass ribs that flex under gusts without permanent bending. The automatic open and close button operates the canopy in one second with a single press. The comfortable handle allows secure grip during deployment. No manual locking or unfolding steps are needed in normal use.

Questions about this item

Will this 42-inch automatic umbrella fit in the same briefcase pocket as my old 10-inch compact model?

When folded it measures 11.8 inches (30 cm) and weighs 1.2 lbs (14 ounces), so it slides into most briefcase pockets, backpacks, car door pockets and purses without taking much more room than a smaller umbrella.

How can I confirm the auto open/close button is working correctly after I take it out of the box?

Press the button once; the canopy should spring open fully in about a second. Press it again and the ribs will retract smoothly. If both actions happen cleanly, the mechanism is functioning as designed.

Does the package include a protective sleeve or do I need to buy one separately?

The umbrella comes with its own compact sleeve that matches the 11.8-inch folded length, so no extra cover is required.
