Ready-to-play desktop

The MSI Codex R2 ships as a complete gaming PC with an Intel Core i5-14400F 10-core processor, GeForce RTX 5050 8GB GDDR7 graphics, 16GB DDR5 memory and a 1TB NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed so the system boots straight to a familiar desktop. A keyboard and mouse are included in the box.

Forge 121R chassis and connectivity

The Forge 121R ATX tower uses a 4mm tempered-glass side panel and four RGB fans alongside an RGB CPU air cooler for airflow and visibility. Wireless networking relies on Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth 5.3, while a Gigabit Ethernet port handles wired links. Multiple USB ports on the front and rear panels support everyday peripherals.

Practical limits of the platform

The 10-core CPU tops out at 4.7 GHz, setting the ceiling for single-threaded game logic and background tasks. The RTX 5050 carries 8GB GDDR7, which caps texture resolution and frame-buffer depth at 1440p ultra settings. The single 1TB NVMe drive will fill quickly with large modern titles, requiring secondary storage for bigger libraries.
