18-inch QHD+ gaming laptop

The MSI Crosshair 18 HX AI pairs an Intel Core Ultra 9 275HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU. It targets gamers and creators who need a large, high-refresh display in a portable chassis. The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe Gen 4x4 NVMe SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Sustained load behaviour

The 24-core CPU runs at a 2.1 GHz base clock and can reach 5.4 GHz on turbo. Under continuous load the 240W power adapter feeds both the processor and the 8GB GDDR7 graphics card. A 90Whr battery supplies mobile power when the adapter is disconnected. Thermal management must dissipate heat from both high-performance components within the 1.17-inch profile.

8GB GDDR7 video memory

The GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU provides 8GB of GDDR7 memory. This capacity determines the texture resolution and frame-buffer headroom available in modern titles at 2560 x 1600. Buyers comparing configurations should match this figure to their workload requirements.

Yes, the board supports up to 64GB DDR5 5600 across two slots; one slot is free on the 32GB configuration.
