16 QHD+ 240Hz gaming laptop

The MSI Crosshair A16 is a 16.0 inch Windows 11 Pro laptop built around a 2560 x 1600 display running at 240Hz. An AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX 16-core processor with a 5.4 GHz turbo frequency pairs with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5060 8 GB GDDR7 GPU. The system ships with 32GB DDR5 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD in a gray chassis.

16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX upgrade

Moving from an 8-core mobile CPU to this 16-core design adds 32 threads for heavy multitasking and content creation workloads. The jump is worth it when you run compile jobs, virtual machines or stream while gaming at the same time. The 2.40GHz base clock and high turbo keep single-thread speed strong for older titles.

RTX 5060 GDDR7 sustained load

The RTX 5060 laptop GPU uses 8 GB GDDR7 memory to maintain frame rates during extended sessions. The 240Hz panel lets you see the consistency rather than just peak numbers. Wi-Fi 6E and Bluetooth handle wireless traffic while the 14.13 x 10.49 x 1.1 inch frame dissipates heat across its 5.51 pound mass.
