Built for gaming and creative work

The Crosshair A18 HX A8WGKG is an 18.0 inch gaming laptop aimed at players and creators who need desktop-class speed in a portable chassis. It runs Windows 11 Home on an AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor paired with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Laptop GPU. The Cosmo Gray finish covers a 15.90 by 11.02 by 1.17 inch frame weighing 6.83 lbs.

32 GB DDR5 5600 and 1 TB NVMe Gen4x4

Memory capacity sits at 32 GB of DDR5 5600, giving comfortable headroom for modern titles, streaming and multitasking without constant paging. The 1 TB NVMe Gen4x4 SSD provides fast load times and space for a large library, though heavy modders or video editors may eventually want a second drive. Storage and memory are the practical limits for long-term flexibility.

18 inch 2560 x 1600 240 Hz display

The defining spec is the 18 inch QHD+ panel running at 2560 x 1600 resolution and 240 Hz refresh rate, delivering high detail and smooth motion for competitive and immersive gaming alike. It is driven by the RTX 5070 with 8 GB GDDR7 video memory and supported by DLSS upscaling. If your workflow or play style benefits from a large, fast screen, this is the deciding factor.

Questions about this item

Will the HDMI 2.1 port drive my older monitor at its native refresh rate?

The HDMI 2.1 port supports up to 240 Hz at QHD+ resolution, so most older 1080p or 1440p panels will run at their rated speed.

How can I confirm the RTX 5070 Laptop GPU is performing as intended after setup?

Open the NVIDIA control panel and verify the GPU shows 8 GB GDDR7 memory and that DLSS 4 options appear in supported titles.

What is in the box and what must I buy separately?

The laptop, a power adapter and Windows 11 Home are included; no external peripherals or storage upgrades are bundled.
