Compact 10-core mini PC barebone

The MSI Cubi 5 12M-093BUS is a barebone mini PC built around an Intel Core i5-1235U 10-core processor running at 1.3 GHz. It ships with 64 GB of DDR4-3200 memory installed across two slots. The system uses integrated Intel Xe graphics and includes a Serial ATA controller for storage expansion.

Suited for multi-display office work.

This unit suits users who need a small, quiet desktop for productivity, video conferencing or driving up to three external displays via HDMI, DisplayPort and Thunderbolt 4. Buyers who require a dedicated graphics card, additional PCIe add-in cards or a chassis that accepts standard ATX power supplies should look elsewhere.

64 GB DDR4-3200 memory capacity

The platform provides two DDR4 SO-DIMM slots populated to a total of 64 GB at 3200 MT/s. This fixed memory amount determines whether the system can handle your workload without further upgrades.

Questions about this item

How much heat or fan noise does the Core i5-1235U produce when the Cubi 5 12M runs all day?

The 10-core i5-1235U operates at a 1.3 GHz base frequency inside the fan-cooled Cubi 5 chassis, so sustained workloads stay quiet and temperatures remain controlled in typical office use.

Which DDR4 modules must I supply to reach the 64 GB maximum on the two memory slots?

Populate both SO-DIMM slots with DDR4-3200 (PC4-25600) sticks totalling up to 64 GB; the barebone ships with no memory installed.

Will my older HDMI and DisplayPort monitors work alongside the Thunderbolt 4 port for a three-screen setup?

Yes — the HDMI, DP and Thunderbolt 4 outputs can drive up to three displays simultaneously, so legacy monitors connect directly without adapters.
