Optical sensor and DPI

The MSI FORGE GM320 is a wired gaming mouse built around an optical sensor that reaches 12800 DPI. It offers six adjustable DPI presets so you can change sensitivity on the fly. A 1000 Hz report rate cuts input latency to 1 ms. The symmetrical shell suits palm and claw grips and works for left‑handed users. Durable switches are rated for 20 million clicks.

Who this suits and who it does not

Competitive gamers and designers who need precise tracking and quick sensitivity changes will benefit from the high DPI range and 1 KHz polling. Buyers who want wireless freedom, extra programmable buttons or an ergonomic right‑handed shape should look at something else.

Deciding specification

The 12800 DPI optical sensor with six presets and 1000 Hz polling is the single specification that decides whether this mouse matches your accuracy and speed requirements.
