GeForce RTX 3070 SUPRIM X 8GB

The MSI GeForce RTX 3070 SUPRIM X 8G is a graphics card built around the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 chipset with 8GB of GDDR6 memory. It connects via a PCI Express 4.0 16X interface and requires two 8-pin power connectors. This card targets enthusiasts seeking high frame rates at 1440p or entry-level 4K gaming.

PCI Express 4.0 16X bandwidth ceiling

The PCI Express 4.0 16X slot delivers up to 16 GT/s per lane, which sets the practical throughput limit for this GPU. A 256-bit memory bus paired with 14000MHz GDDR6 memory feeds the core, while the interface caps total system-to-GPU transfer speed. Ensure your motherboard and CPU support PCIe 4.0 to avoid leaving bandwidth unused.

Dual 8-pin power and triple-slot implication

Two 8-pin connectors indicate a high power target, so a robust power supply with native cables is essential. The SUPRIM X cooler typically occupies three expansion slots, which affects case compatibility and may block adjacent PCIe slots. No original packaging or accessories are included, so verify clearance and cable routing before installation.

Questions about this item

Does the card fit a standard dual-slot bracket and a typical mid-tower case?

The SUPRIM X cooler occupies three expansion slots, so verify your case has three clear rear brackets and enough length clearance before buying.

What power supply cables are required for the 8-pin plus 8-pin connectors?

You need two separate 8-pin PCIe cables from the PSU; do not use a single daisy-chained cable for both sockets.

Can the 8 GB GDDR6 frame buffer handle 7680×4320 output for productivity work?

Yes, the card can drive a 7680×4320 display, but 8 GB VRAM may limit high-resolution texture workloads in professional apps.
