8GB GDDR6X graphics card

The MSI GeForce RTX 3070 Ti Suprim X uses a 256-bit GDDR6X frame buffer with 6144 CUDA cores and a PCI Express 4.0 interface. It is aimed at enthusiasts who need high frame rates at 1440p or entry-level 4K gaming. The card ships with one HDMI 2.1 port and three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs for multi-monitor setups.

Triple-fan thermal behaviour

A triple-fan cooler dissipates heat across a large heatsink area during extended sessions. Software-selectable EXTREME mode runs the core at 1875 MHz while GAMING and SILENT modes hold 1860 MHz, letting the user trade peak frequency for lower acoustic output. Sustained loads remain stable because the thermal mass absorbs spikes before fan curves ramp aggressively.

Installation notes and common issues

The card occupies three expansion slots and needs two 8-pin power connectors from the PSU. MSI Center must be installed to switch between the three factory BIOS profiles. Builders sometimes forget to enable PCI Express 4.0 in the motherboard firmware, leaving the link at 3.0 speeds. Clearance for the thick shroud should be verified against the case side panel before purchase.

Questions about this item

How loud and hot does the triple-fan cooler get when the MSI Suprim RTX 3070 Ti runs at 1875 MHz all day?

In SILENT mode the card holds 1860 MHz with a quieter fan curve, while EXTREME mode pushes 1875 MHz and spins the three fans faster; both keep the 8 GB GDDR6X within spec.

Which power connectors must my supply already have for this RTX 3070 Ti Suprim X?

The board draws auxiliary power through standard 8-pin PCIe plugs; check that your PSU provides enough of them for a 256-bit GDDR6X card.

Will the HDMI 2.1 and DisplayPort 1.4a outputs drive my older 1440p 144 Hz monitor without adapters?

Yes — the 1.4a ports support 1440p at 144 Hz natively, and HDMI 2.1 adds headroom for newer displays while staying backward compatible.
