Triple-fan graphics card with silver shroud and backplate

MSI

MSI GeForce RTX 3090 Gaming X Trio 24GB GDDR6X graphics card

SKU CH-XJAZ-MK919

Triple-fan graphics card with 24 GB GDDR6X memory, 1785 MHz boost clock and three DisplayPort 1.4a plus HDMI 2.1 outputs

  • Type of memoryGDDR6X
  • 24 GB GDDR6X memory handles massive textures and datasets
  • 1785 MHz boost clock pushes frame rates higher in heavy workloads
  • 5 Gbps memory speed feeds the GPU with ultra-fast bandwidth
  • TRI FROZR 2 cooling with TORX Fan 4.0 keeps temperatures low under sustained load
  • Three DisplayPort 1.4a and one HDMI 2.1 outputs drive multiple high-refresh displays

The 24GB GDDR6X frame buffer

This card equips the GeForce RTX 3090 with a 24GB GDDR6X memory pool. The large frame buffer targets creators and enthusiasts who need capacity for high-resolution assets and complex workloads. It connects through a PCI Express Gen 4 interface. Three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port handle display connectivity.

Triple-slot cooler and software control

The TRI FROZR 2 design uses TORX Fan 4.0 blades arranged in pairs alongside Core Pipes and Airflow Control guides. The assembly occupies three expansion slots, so verify case clearance before fitting it. RGB Mystic Light zones are managed through MSI Dragon Center software for monitoring and tuning.

Interface bandwidth and display limits

PCI Express Gen 4 sets the link ceiling for data movement between the GPU and the platform. DisplayPort 1.4a and HDMI 2.1 define the maximum resolution and refresh combinations available to attached monitors. The 19.5 Gbps memory speed and 1785 MHz boost clock operate within those interface constraints.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the card is hitting its 1785 MHz boost clock after installation?

Open the Dragon Center overlay or a GPU monitor while running a load; the core frequency should read 1785 MHz and the GDDR6X memory should show 19.5 Gbps.

What cables or adapters are included versus what I must source myself?

The box contains the triple-fan graphics card with its TRI FROZR 2 cooler, Mystic Light RGB, and the standard bracket; you must supply a PCIe Gen 4 slot, a PSU with enough 8-pin power connectors, and your own DisplayPort 1.4a or HDMI 2.1 cables.

Which version of this model should I choose for 4K gaming and heavy creative work?

The single 24 GB GDDR6X configuration with three DisplayPort 1.4a outputs and one HDMI 2.1 port is the only version offered, so it covers both high-resolution gaming and VR-ready content creation.
