15.6″ Full HD gaming laptop

The MSI GL62 7RDX pairs a 15.6 inch 1920 x 1080 anti-glare display with an Intel Core i7-7700HQ quad-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1050 dedicated graphics. Sixteen gigabytes of DDR4 memory and a 256 GB SSD plus 1 TB HDD combination deliver fast boot times and ample space for games and media. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed on this new black chassis.

Sustained load behaviour

Under continuous gaming or rendering workloads the GTX 1050 2 GB GPU maintains solid frame rates at 1080p while the i7-7700HQ runs at its 2.8 GHz base clock and can boost to 3.8 GHz when thermal headroom allows. The dual-storage layout keeps the operating system and active titles on the SSD, reducing stutter during long sessions. Gigabit LAN and 802.11ac Wi-Fi provide stable network throughput for online play.

Installation and common issues

The laptop arrives ready to use with Windows 11 already configured; driver updates for the SteelSeries keyboard, Nahimic 2 audio and GPU are handled through MSI utilities. Buyers who want more storage than the 256 GB SSD provides should plan for an external drive or cloud solution, as internal upgrade paths are not detailed in the specifications. The single HDMI port supports 4K output at 30 Hz, so users needing higher refresh rates on external monitors will need an alternative connection.
