Complete Gaming Desktop

The MSI Gungnir 110R is a new desktop PC built around a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D processor running at 4.3 GHz. It pairs that CPU with a GeForce RTX 5080 graphics card holding 16 GB of GDDR7 memory and 128 GB of DDR5 system RAM. A 1 TB NVMe SSD and Windows 11 Home complete a system cooled by a 240 mm liquid loop and powered by a 1000 W supply.

Ideal for High-End Gaming and Content Creation

This machine suits enthusiasts who want maximum frame rates at 4K resolution and creators who need 128 GB of memory for heavy multitasking or rendering. Buyers who require more than 1 TB of fast storage or a second graphics card for specialised compute workloads should look at a different platform. The single 16-core processor also limits users needing dual-socket scaling.

Deciding Spec: 16-Core Ryzen 9 9950X3D

The combination of a 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D CPU and 128 GB of DDR5 RAM defines whether this build matches the workload. That core count and memory capacity handle parallel tasks and large datasets that smaller configurations cannot. If the workflow does not need 16 cores or 128 GB, a less equipped system will serve the same purpose.

Questions about this item

What comes in the box and what must I buy separately?

The system ships as a complete desktop with the Ryzen 9 9950X3D, RTX 5080 16GB GDDR7, 128GB DDR5, 1TB NVMe SSD, 240mm liquid cooler, 1000W power supply and Windows 11 Home installed. You only need a monitor, keyboard and mouse.

Which memory configuration should I choose for this build?

The PC arrives with 128GB DDR5 already installed across the four available slots, so no further selection is required.

What does the 4.3GHz base clock mean for actual gaming performance?

The 4.3GHz base frequency on the 16-core Ryzen 9 9950X3D provides strong single-thread speed for high frame rates, while the 3D V-Cache helps sustain 1% lows in CPU-bound titles.
