Built for QHD gaming and heavy multitasking

This MSI Katana 15 pairs a 16-core Intel Core i7-14650HX with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU and 64GB of DDR5 4800 memory. The 15.6-inch 2560 x 1440 panel runs at 165Hz for smooth motion in fast titles. A 4TB PCIe SSD holds large game libraries and project files. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Opened and tested by engineers before dispatch

The factory seal is opened only for the memory and storage upgrades, then the unit is inspected and tested. This reduces the chance of factory defects or blemishes reaching you. The laptop arrives ready to use with no further assembly required. Original manufacturer warranty covers the remaining components.

Check your power and peripheral needs

The charger uses a proprietary connector; ensure you have a suitable outlet for the supplied adapter. Three USB Type-A and two USB Type-C ports handle most accessories, while HDMI and RJ45 cover external displays and wired networking. No SD card reader is fitted, so plan for an external adapter if you need one.

Questions about this item

How do I confirm the 165Hz QHD panel is running at its native 2560 x 1440 resolution after setup?

Open Windows Display Settings and verify the resolution shows 2560 x 1440 with the refresh rate set to 165Hz. The NVIDIA Control Panel will also list the active signal mode for the RTX 5070 GPU.

What ships in the box and what must I buy separately for the Katana 15?

The laptop, a power adapter, and documentation are included. The 64GB DDR5 4800 memory and 4TB PCIe SSD are already installed. No SD card reader is built in, so an external USB reader is needed for memory cards.

Which configuration should I choose if I need the 16-core i7-14650HX with RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7 graphics?

This model pairs the 16-core Intel Core i7-14650HX (24 threads, up to 5.2 GHz turbo) with the GeForce RTX 5070 8GB GDDR7, 64GB DDR5 4800 RAM, and a 4TB PCIe SSD — the only version listed with that specification.
