Core specification for gamers and creators

This MSI Katana 15 HX-13 pairs an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with 16 cores and a 5.20 GHz turbo frequency with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 laptop GPU carrying 8 GB of GDDR7 memory. 48 GB of DDR5 RAM and a 2 TB PCIe SSD back the compute and graphics hardware. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Target user and limits

The 15.6 inch QHD 165 Hz IPS-level panel suits competitive players who want high refresh rates at 2560 x 1440 resolution. Content creators benefit from the colour consistency of the display and the GPU's AI acceleration. Buyers needing a larger screen, longer unplugged runtime from the 55.2 Wh battery, or a lighter chassis should evaluate other models.

Deciding specification — GPU

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 with 8 GB GDDR7 is the single component that determines whether this laptop meets a buyer's performance target for modern titles and creative workloads at QHD resolution.
