Questions about this item

What is the maximum turbo frequency the Ryzen 9 8945HS can reach before thermal limits throttle it?

The processor can boost up to 5.2 GHz; sustained loads will be managed by the Cooler Boost 5 thermal solution.

How loud do the fans get and what happens to surface temperatures during all-day gaming?

Cooler Boost 5 uses dual fans and heat pipes to move heat away from the CPU and RTX 4070; fan speed ramps with load and surface temperatures stay within safe operating ranges.

Which cables or peripherals must I already own to use the built-in ports?

The laptop provides two USB 3.2 Type-A ports, one USB 2.0 Type-A, one USB 3.2 Type-C, HDMI, RJ-45 Ethernet and a headphone/microphone combo jack; bring matching cables for each interface you plan to use.
