15.6" 144Hz FHD Gaming Laptop

The MSI Katana A15 is a 15.6-inch gaming laptop with a 144Hz FHD display. It runs on an AMD Ryzen 9 8945HS 8-core processor and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4070 GPU with 8GB GDDR6 memory. The system includes 64GB DDR5 RAM and a 2TB PCIe SSD. It ships with Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 license.

Suits 144Hz competitive play; not for 4K

This configuration suits players who want high frame rates at 1920 x 1080 resolution on a 144Hz panel. The 8-core CPU and RTX 4070 handle modern titles at high settings. Buyers who need a higher-resolution screen, a larger chassis, or a different GPU tier should consider other models.

8GB GDDR6 VRAM on the RTX 4070

The single specification that decides fit is the 8GB GDDR6 video memory on the GeForce RTX 4070 Laptop GPU. That VRAM capacity sets the texture and resolution ceiling for current games. If your workload demands more video memory, this laptop will not meet the requirement.
