15.6" QHD 165 Hz Gaming Laptop

The MSI Katana 15 HX B14W delivers a 15.6 inch IPS panel at 2560 x 1440 resolution and a 165 Hz refresh rate. It runs on an Intel Core i7-14650HX processor with a 5.20 GHz turbo frequency. An NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 GPU with 8 GB video memory handles graphics. The system includes 16 GB of DDR5 5600 memory and a 1 TB SSD. Windows 11 Home is pre-installed.

Ready to Use Out of the Box

The notebook ships with the operating system, drivers and essential utilities already configured. No internal assembly is required; simply complete the Windows 11 Home setup wizard. The main limitation is that memory and storage upgrades demand partial disassembly, which may void the manufacturer seal if performed incorrectly. Wi-Fi 6E connectivity is built in for wireless networking.

For Competitive and Creative Work

The high-refresh QHD display and RTX 5070 suit fast-paced gaming and GPU-accelerated content creation. DLSS 4.5 support helps maintain frame rates in supported titles. Users who need more than 16 GB of RAM or a larger battery for extended unplugged sessions should consider alternative configurations. The 1.60 GHz base clock ensures consistent performance across sustained workloads.
