24-inch 1500R curved VA gaming monitor

The MSI MAG 244C uses a 23.6-inch viewable VA panel with a 1500R curvature and Full HD 1920 x 1080 resolution. It targets competitive players who want an immersive field of view without moving to a larger desk footprint. The 16.7 million colour output covers 105% sRGB, 87% Adobe RGB and 84% DCI-P3.

180Hz refresh rate with 1ms MPRT response

The single specification that decides suitability is the 180Hz refresh rate paired with a 1ms MPRT response time. This combination eliminates motion blur in fast-paced FPS and racing titles. AMD FreeSync adaptive-sync keeps frame delivery tear-free when the GPU frame rate fluctuates.

HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2a connectivity

The monitor provides HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2a inputs, both supporting the full 180Hz refresh rate, plus a headphone output for audio passthrough. A tilt-adjustable stand and 100x100mm VESA mount give flexible positioning. The anti-glare coating and 178° viewing angles maintain clarity from off-centre seats.

Questions about this item

How does the 180Hz refresh rate affect gameplay on this MAG 244C?

The 180Hz refresh rate means the screen updates 180 times per second, so fast motion in shooters or racing titles stays sharp with less blur than lower refresh rates.

What do the HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2a ports cap the refresh rate at?

Both HDMI 2.0b and DisplayPort 1.2a support the full 180Hz at 1920x1080, so you can reach the maximum refresh rate over either connection.

What mounting options does the 24-inch curved panel need?

The monitor includes a tilt-adjustable stand and 100x100mm VESA mount holes for wall or arm mounting.
