24.5" Rapid IPS panel at 300Hz

The MSI MAG 255XF is a 24.5-inch Full HD gaming monitor built around a Rapid IPS panel. It delivers a 300Hz refresh rate and a 0.5ms GTG minimum response time for minimal motion blur. Adaptive-Sync is provided by AMD FreeSync Premium, and HDR content is supported. The panel covers 87% Adobe RGB, 90% DCI-P3 and 120% sRGB with 1.07 billion display colors.

Competitive shooters and fast-paced esports

This display suits players who prioritise high refresh rates and low response times in first-person shooters, fighting games, racing sims and real-time strategy titles. AI Vision enhances visibility in dark scenes, while Less Blue Light and Anti-Flicker reduce eye strain during long sessions. Buyers needing higher pixel density for productivity or preferring a larger screen diagonal should look at alternatives.

300Hz refresh rate with 0.5ms GTG response

The single specification that decides fit is the combination of a 300Hz refresh rate and a 0.5ms GTG minimum response time on a 24.5-inch 1920 x 1080 Rapid IPS panel. This pairing targets competitive gaming where motion clarity outweighs resolution. Connectivity includes DisplayPort 1.4a, HDMI 2.0b and a headphone output for straightforward system integration.

Questions about this item

Will my graphics card work with the FreeSync Premium feature?

FreeSync Premium requires an AMD Radeon graphics card that supports FreeSync. The monitor provides the display side of the variable-refresh pipeline.

Can the 300 Hz refresh rate be used over both video inputs?

The DisplayPort 1.4a connection supports the full 300 Hz at 1920 x 1080. The HDMI 2.0b port is limited to a lower maximum refresh rate at the same resolution.

What does the 0.5 ms response time mean for fast-paced games?

The 0.5 ms grey-to-grey minimum reduces ghosting and motion blur in first-person shooters, racing sims and other high-speed titles.
