27" 300Hz Mini LED Monitor

The MSI MAG 274QPF X30MV is a 27-inch flat gaming monitor with a Rapid VA Mini-LED panel and 1152 local dimming zones. It delivers 2560 x 1440 resolution at a 300Hz refresh rate with a 0.50ms response time. VESA DisplayHDR 1000 certification and 400 cd/m² brightness support high dynamic range content.

Competitive gamers needing speed.

The 300Hz refresh rate and 0.50ms response suit competitive players who prioritise motion clarity in fast titles. Adaptive Sync reduces tearing across supported GPUs. Buyers who need factory colour calibration for professional editing or a curved screen for immersive simulation should consider alternatives.

1152-zone Mini LED backlight decides HDR impact

The 1152 local dimming zones enable the DisplayHDR 1000 rating by controlling bright highlights and deep blacks independently. This specification determines whether HDR games and video show genuine contrast or only a modest SDR boost. Connectivity includes two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a.

Questions about this item

Will the 300Hz refresh rate work with my older graphics card that only has HDMI 2.0?

The monitor provides two HDMI 2.1 ports and one DisplayPort 1.4a. HDMI 2.0 sources will run at their maximum supported rate, while the 300Hz panel requires DisplayPort 1.4a or HDMI 2.1 for full speed.

How can I confirm the 1152-zone Mini-LED backlight is delivering true DisplayHDR 1000 performance?

Enable HDR in Windows and open a DisplayHDR test pattern; sustained 1000 cd/m² highlights and deep blacks across the 2560 x 1440 panel verify the VESA certification.

Does the box include a DisplayPort 1.4a cable for the 300Hz 1440p signal, or must I buy one separately?

The package contains the monitor, the height-swivel-pivot-tilt stand, a power cable and an HDMI cable. A DisplayPort 1.4a cable is not included and must be purchased separately.
