ATX motherboard for Ryzen 7000 CPUs with DDR5 memory, Wi-Fi 6E, 2.5G LAN and USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 20Gbps
The MSI MAG B650 TOMAHAWK WIFI is an ATX motherboard built for AMD Ryzen 7000 series processors. It provides four DIMM slots for dual-channel DDR5 memory with overclocking support. The board targets enthusiasts assembling a modern desktop platform on the AM5 socket.
Premium thermal design uses a heavy plated heatsink linked by a heat-pipe to the extended PWM heatsink. M.2 Shield FROZR covers the M.2 slots to keep solid-state drives cool under sustained loads. Rear I/O includes a USB 3.2 Gen 2x2 port delivering 20 Gbps and 2.5 Gbps LAN alongside Wi-Fi 6E wireless.
Enhanced circuit design and the extended heatsink allow high-end processors to maintain maximum frequency during heavy workloads. Wi-Fi 6E operates on the 6 GHz band with MU-MIMO and BSS colour technology for up to 2400 Mbps throughput. Audio Boost 5 isolates the audio processor for cleaner output. Memory Boost technology improves signal integrity for stable DDR5 operation.

The port uses USB 3.2 Gen 2X2 and caps at 20Gbps transmission speed.
The board is ATX size and uses the AM5 socket, so the case must fit ATX and the cooler must mount on AM5.
Remove the protective film from the thermal pad, place the shield over the M.2 SSD, then screw it down; the missed step is leaving the film on, which blocks heat transfer.
