Check GPU outputs and desk space

Verify your graphics card provides a DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 connection to drive 1440p at 500Hz without compression; the monitor also includes one HDMI 2.1 port. The stand offers height, pivot, swivel and tilt adjustment and the unit supports 100 x 100mm VESA mounting. Overall dimensions are 23.9 x 9.52 x 16.38 inches and weight is 18 lbs. Built-in speakers and webcam are not present.

Thermals noise and power in daily use

OLED panels generate less heat than high-brightness LCDs, and the monitor includes AI OLED Care 3.0 with a presence sensor to manage power and run pixel-refresh cycles automatically. With no internal fan the unit is silent during operation. Typical SDR brightness is 300 nits; HDR peaks reach 1000 nits at 3% APL and 515 nits at 10% APL. Power draw scales with average picture level rather than a fixed backlight.

Questions about this item

What accessories come in the box with the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 and what must I buy separately?

The package includes the 27 inch QD-OLED panel, an ergonomic stand with height pivot swivel tilt adjustments, and cables for the single DisplayPort 2.1a and single HDMI 2.1 ports. No speakers or webcam are built in so external audio and a camera are separate purchases.

Which version of the MPG 271QR QD-OLED X50 should I choose for 500Hz at 1440p?

This model is a single SKU with a 2560 x 1440 QD-OLED panel, 500Hz refresh rate and 0.03ms GtG response. There are no alternate capacity or panel options listed so the choice is simply this configuration.

What does the 500Hz refresh rate actually deliver once the monitor is connected to a PC?

With a DisplayPort 2.1a UHBR20 link providing 80Gbps bandwidth the panel can run 2560 x 1440 at 500Hz natively without compression. G-Sync Compatible adaptive sync matches the GPU frame rate up to that ceiling and the 0.03ms GtG response keeps motion blur minimal.
