25" 120 Hz IPS monitor for work and play

The MSI PRO MP251 E2 is a 25 inch Full HD display with a 120 Hz refresh rate and an IPS panel. It targets home-office professionals and casual gamers who want smoother motion and wide viewing angles in a compact form factor. The anti-glare coating and thin bezels suit multi-monitor layouts.

Check video outputs and refresh-rate needs

Verify that your computer can drive 1920 x 1080 at 120 Hz over HDMI or DisplayPort; the VGA port is limited to 60 Hz. Confirm your graphics settings support the higher refresh rate and that you have a cable rated for the required bandwidth. The stand offers tilt only, so ensure the fixed height fits your desk ergonomics.

Replaces 60 Hz office screens when motion clarity

This monitor upgrades a standard 60 Hz panel by doubling the refresh rate to 120 Hz, reducing motion blur in scrolling documents and casual games. The jump is worthwhile if you notice flicker or blur on your current screen and your hardware can sustain the higher frame rate. It does not add HDR brightness or colour-volume benefits beyond the HDR Ready label.

Questions about this item

What cables and accessories are included with the MSI PRO MP251 E2 and what must I source separately?

The box contains the 24.5 inch IPS panel, a stand with a phone accessory slot, and standard power and video cables for the HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA inputs. No extra adapters are required for those three interfaces.

How do I decide between the HDMI, DisplayPort, and VGA inputs on this 120 Hz model?

Use HDMI or DisplayPort to reach the full 1920 x 1080 resolution at 120 Hz. The VGA port is limited to 60 Hz at the same resolution, so keep it only for legacy devices.

What does the 1 ms MPRT figure mean for everyday use on this monitor?

The 1 ms MPRT rating reduces visible motion blur during fast scrolling or gaming, while the 4 ms GTG figure represents standard pixel transitions. Both contribute to the smoother 120 Hz experience.
