Raider 18 HX AI 18-inch gaming laptop

The MSI Raider 18 HX AI A2XWJG-069US is an 18-inch gaming laptop built for 3D and CAD rendering, AI and machine learning, creative work, heavy multitasking, programming and gaming. It runs on an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor paired with 64 GB of DDR5 6400 MHz memory and a 2 TB PCIe NVMe Gen 5x4 SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed.

Suits creators and engineers needing 24 GB VRAM

This machine suits professionals who need 24 GB of GDDR7 video memory on the RTX 5090 Laptop GPU for large models, high-resolution textures or local AI inference. Buyers who only need 1080p gaming or lighter workloads should look at a laptop with a smaller GPU and less memory.

Deciding spec: RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24 GB GDDR7

The single specification that decides fit is the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU equipped with 24 GB of GDDR7 memory. If your workload fits within that VRAM budget, the system delivers desktop-level graphics throughput; if it exceeds it, you will need a different solution.

Questions about this item

Will the 18-inch 3840 x 2400 panel at 120 Hz handle fast-paced shooters and colour-critical work without an external monitor?

The 18-inch display runs at 3840 x 2400 with a 120 Hz refresh rate, giving both high pixel density for creative detail and smooth motion for competitive titles.

Can the two Thunderbolt 5 ports and HDMI 2.1 output drive three 4K screens simultaneously for a sim-rig or multi-monitor studio?

Yes — two Thunderbolt 5 ports and one HDMI 2.1 port each support 4K output, so three external 4K displays can run alongside the built-in panel.

Does the 64 GB DDR5 6400 memory leave any slots free for a future upgrade, or is it soldered?

The 64 GB DDR5 6400 configuration fills the available slots; no further memory expansion is possible.
