Raider 18 HX AI A2XWJG 18" UHD+ 120Hz Mini LED

This MSI gaming laptop combines an 18-inch UHD+ 120Hz Mini LED display with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX 24-core processor and NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 video memory. It ships with 128GB DDR5 5600MHz dual-channel memory and 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe SSD storage. The system targets users who need desktop-class compute and graphics performance in a portable form factor running Windows 11 Home.

Gelid GC Extreme thermal interface material

The builder applies Gelid GC Extreme thermal compound to both the processor and graphics chip during assembly to improve heat transfer and lower operating temperatures. This service aims to reduce thermal throttling during sustained workloads. The laptop arrives with the latest stable BIOS and drivers pre-installed, and each unit undergoes burn-in stress testing, benchmark verification, keyboard and touchpad checks, port validation, display inspection and physical chassis review before shipment.

24-core 285HX with 5.5 GHz turbo

The 285HX processor reaches a maximum turbo frequency of 5.5 GHz across its 24 cores with 36MB L3 cache, while the RTX 5090 provides 24GB GDDR7 memory for graphics-intensive tasks. The upgraded thermal interface material helps maintain lower temperatures during extended CPU and GPU intensive sessions, minimising performance drops. The 4TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage array delivers fast data access for large projects and game libraries throughout long working periods.

Questions about this item

How can I verify the 18" UHD+ 120Hz Mini LED panel and RTX 5090 are performing correctly after unboxing?

Run the pre-installed benchmark suite and monitor CPU and GPU temperatures under load; the Gelid GC Extreme application should keep thermals steady while the 24 GB GDDR7 video memory and 3840 x 2400 resolution operate at their rated speeds.

What components are included and what must I purchase separately?

The box contains the Core Black laptop with Windows 11 Home, 128 GB DDR5 5600 MHz memory in dual-channel configuration, 4 TB PCIe 4.0 NVMe storage as two 2 TB drives, and the 24-core Ultra 9 285HX processor; no additional parts are required for full operation.

Which configuration should I choose between the available versions?

This specific A2XWJG-841US build ships with the 18-inch 3840 x 2400 120 Hz Mini LED display, Ultra 9 285HX at 2.1 GHz base and 5.5 GHz turbo, RTX 5090 with 24 GB GDDR7, 128 GB DDR5, and 4 TB NVMe storage — no other capacity or screen options are offered for this model.
