18-inch 240 Hz gaming laptop

The MSI Raider 18 HX combines an 18-inch 2560x1600 IPS display running at 240 Hz with an Intel Core Ultra 9 285HX processor and NVIDIA RTX 5080 graphics. It ships with 64 GB of DDR5 memory and a 1 TB SSD. Windows 11 Pro is pre-installed on the Core Black chassis.

Who this suits and who should look elsewhere

Creators and gamers who need desktop-class CPU and GPU performance in a single portable device will benefit from the Overboost Ultra power delivery and high-refresh screen. Buyers who want a lighter machine for travel or who need more than 1 TB of internal storage should consider other options.

The spec that decides fit

The 240 Hz 2560x1600 panel paired with an RTX 5080 determines whether this laptop matches your workflow; if your applications demand that refresh rate at that resolution, the configuration fits, otherwise a different display or GPU tier may be more appropriate.
