Thin 15 i5-13420H RTX 3050

This 15.6 inch gaming laptop pairs an Intel Core i5-13420H processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3050 graphics card. It targets users who want high memory and storage capacity in a portable chassis. The system ships with Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 license.

Thermals noise and power

The 4.1 pound chassis measures 14.1 by 10 by 0.9 inches, housing the 8-core CPU and 4GB GPU. Under load the cooling system manages heat from the 2.1 GHz base and 4.6 GHz boost processor. Fan noise rises with GPU utilisation while the 144 Hz display draws consistent power.

64GB DDR5 4TB PCIe SSD

The upgraded memory kit provides 64GB of DDR5 RAM for multitasking headroom. A 4TB PCIe SSD replaces the original drive, giving extensive space for games and projects. The seal was opened by engineers to install these components and verify operation.

Questions about this item

How do I install the 4 TB PCIe SSD in the Thin 15, and what step is often missed?

The SSD slots into the M.2 connector under the bottom panel; the step many miss is removing the retention screw first, then pressing the drive fully home before replacing the screw.

What maintenance or replacement will the 64 GB DDR5 memory and 4 TB PCIe SSD need later?

The memory is not user-serviceable, so no routine maintenance is required; the SSD can be swapped for a larger PCIe drive if capacity runs out.

Which limit appears first on the Core i5-13420H and RTX 3050 during sustained 144 Hz gaming?

The GPU 4 GB frame buffer fills before the CPU hits its 4.6 GHz boost ceiling, so texture quality drops first.
