MSI Thin 15 gaming laptop i5-13420H RTX 4050 32GB 2TB 15.6 144Hz Gray

Core hardware and audience

The MSI Thin 15 is a 15.6 inch gaming laptop built around an Intel Core i5-13420H processor with 8 cores and 12 threads. It pairs that CPU with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 4050 laptop GPU carrying 6GB of video memory. The system ships with 32GB of DDR5 memory and a 2TB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Pro. It is aimed at users who want a portable machine for modern games and everyday productivity.

Ports and expandability

Connectivity includes three USB-A 3.2 ports, one USB-C 3.2 port, an HDMI output that supports 4K at 30Hz, and an RJ45 Ethernet jack. Wireless networking uses Wi-Fi and Bluetooth 5.2. The chassis measures 14.13 by 9.99 by .85 inches and weighs 4.1 pounds. A 720p webcam and backlit keyboard are integrated, while a fingerprint reader and SD card reader are not present.

Sustained load behavior

The processor runs at a 2.1 GHz base clock and can boost to 4.6 GHz when thermal headroom allows. The 144 Hz Full HD display keeps motion smooth during extended sessions. Hi-Res Audio handles output for games and media. The cooling solution is designed to manage heat from the CPU and GPU over long periods without throttling performance aggressively.
