Portable Ryzen 5 7535HS RTX 2050 144Hz

The MSI Thin A15 is a 15.6" gaming laptop driven by a 6-core AMD Ryzen 5 7535HS processor that reaches 4.5 GHz boost. It pairs 32 GB of DDR5 memory with a 512 GB PCIe SSD and an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 GPU equipped with 4 GB of video memory. A 144 Hz FHD panel and Cooler Boost 5 thermal design complete the core specification. Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence are pre-installed.

Suitability check

The six-core CPU and 32 GB of RAM suit students, entry-level creators and casual gamers who need responsive multitasking and solid 1080p frame rates. The RTX 2050 with 4 GB VRAM will limit texture quality in modern AAA titles, so buyers targeting high-refresh competitive play or heavy GPU compute should consider a model with a higher-tier graphics card. Wi-Fi 6E, a backlit keyboard and a full port selection including HDMI 2.1 and RJ45 cover most connectivity needs.

Deciding spec — RTX 2050 4 GB

The NVIDIA GeForce RTX 2050 laptop GPU with 4 GB of dedicated video memory is the single component that defines the performance ceiling for gaming and GPU-accelerated workloads. It delivers playable frame rates at 1080p on medium settings in current titles but cannot sustain high detail or ray-traced effects. If your workflow or game library demands more graphics memory or compute throughput, this SKU will not meet that requirement.

Questions about this item

Will the 512 GB drive hold a few large games and still leave room for Windows and apps?

The 512 GB PCIe SSD ships with Windows 11 Home and an Office 2024 licence installed, so a couple of modern titles will fit but you may want an external drive if you keep many large games at once.

Can I add more memory later or is the 32 GB fixed?

The 32 GB of DDR5 is soldered to the board and cannot be expanded, so the amount you receive is the final capacity.

What external monitors can I connect through the video port?

The HDMI 2.1 output supports a single external display at up to 1920 x 1080 resolution and 144 Hz refresh rate.
