16-core Ryzen 9 8940HX laptop

The MSI Vector A16 pairs a 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 8940HX processor with an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5070 Ti 12GB GDDR7 GPU. A 16.0-inch QHD+ 240Hz display delivers 2560 x 1600 resolution for fast-paced gaming and content creation. The system ships with 64GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 4TB PCIe SSD, running Windows 11 Home out of the box.

USB4 Thunderbolt 4 ports simplify docking

Two USB-C ports support USB4, DisplayPort, Power Delivery 3.1 and Thunderbolt 4 compatibility, so a single cable can drive external monitors, storage and charging. One HDMI 2.1 output, two USB 3.2 Gen 2 Type-A ports, RJ45 Ethernet and a combo audio jack cover legacy peripherals. The SD card reader listed in the highlights is absent from the final spec, so plan for an external reader if your workflow needs it.

64GB DDR5 and 4TB PCIe headroom

The 64GB DDR5 4800 configuration leaves no empty slots for further memory expansion, making the shipped capacity the practical ceiling. The 4TB PCIe SSD provides ample space for large game libraries and project files, while the 12GB GDDR7 frame buffer on the RTX 5070 Ti handles high-resolution textures and GPU compute workloads without paging to system memory.

Questions about this item

How do I verify the 240Hz 2560 x 1600 panel is running at its native refresh rate after setup?

Open Windows Display settings, choose the 16.0" QHD+ screen, and confirm the refresh-rate dropdown shows 240 Hz; the NVIDIA control panel will also report the RTX 5070 Ti driving 2560 x 1600 at that rate.

What ships in the box and what must I purchase separately?

The Cosmo Gray laptop, its power adapter, and Windows 11 Home are included; no external peripherals, docking station, or additional SSD are bundled, so buy those separately if needed.

Which configuration should I choose for maximum memory and storage headroom?

This single SKU already provides 64 GB DDR5 4800 memory and a 4 TB PCIe SSD — the highest capacities offered for the Vector A16 — so no further selection is required.
