Keyboard Cover for Dell XPS and Precision

This ultra-thin silicone skin fits Dell XPS 15 models 9500 9510 9520 9530 and XPS 17 models 9700 9710 9720 9730 plus Precision 5560 5570 5760 5770. It is moulded for US layout keyboards only and does not fit XPS 13 14 or 16 inch models.

Fits around the existing keyboard without tools

The cover sits directly on the keys at a thickness of .3 mm or .01 in so it adds virtually no height and does not interfere with closing the lid. It requires no adhesive and can be lifted off for cleaning or replacement whenever needed.

Waterproof dustproof and washable

The engineering-grade non-toxic silicone blocks liquid spills and dust from reaching the switches. It can be rinsed under water and dried for reuse. Normal typing produces no noticeable change in acoustics or key travel.

Questions about this item

How thick is the silicone layer so I know if it will change the feel of my XPS 15 9520 keyboard?

The cover is .3 mm (.01 in) thick, designed to minimise typing interference while protecting the keys.

Does the black silicone trap heat during long sessions on a Precision 5770?

The ultra-thin .3 mm skin adds negligible insulation, so it does not noticeably affect keyboard temperatures during extended use.

My laptop is a 2022 XPS 17 9720 with a US layout — will this cover match the key shapes exactly?

Yes, each key is moulded for the US layout on XPS 17 9720 and the other listed 15.6" and 17.3" models.
