PVC Street Elbow 90° Long Sweep
This PVC street elbow provides a 90-degree long sweep transition between a 2-inch spigot and a 2-inch hub socket. It is designed for gravity-flow drainage systems requiring a smooth directional change with reduced friction loss.
Schedule 40 DWV Upgrade
The fitting replaces standard short-sweep elbows in Schedule 40 drain, waste, and vent installations where improved flow characteristics are needed. The long sweep radius is worth specifying when the layout allows the extra 7 3/8-inch overall length to reduce turbulence and clogging risk.
2-Inch Gravity Flow Capacity
The elbow comfortably handles typical residential and light commercial gravity drainage loads within its -20 to 140 degrees F operating range. It runs out of headroom in pressurised applications or where temperatures exceed the rated maximum, as it is rated for gravity flow maximum operating pressure only.

Questions about this item
What size hub and spigot does this 2 in long sweep elbow use?
It has a 2 11/16 in female socket hub and a 2 3/8 in male spigot for Schedule 40 pipe.
What solvent cement step is often missed when joining this street elbow?
Apply primer and cement to both the spigot and the hub socket, then push fully home and hold for the recommended set time.
Will this PVC elbow need replacement if the drain line regularly exceeds 140 degrees F?
Yes, the maximum operating temperature is 140 degrees F; sustained higher temperatures can weaken the material.
