PVC DWV 45° Hub Elbow
This white Schedule 40 PVC elbow connects 1-1/2 inch drain, waste and vent piping at a 45 degree angle. The hub connection accepts a spigot end for solvent-weld assembly in non-pressure drainage systems. It meets ASTM D1784 cell class 12454 for material quality.
Hub Connection and Solvent Weld
The hub fitting requires primer and cement to form a permanent, leak-free joint with compatible PVC pipe. No mechanical couplings, gaskets or threading are included, so installers must supply their own solvent-weld materials. The plain white finish matches standard PVC piping for a uniform appearance.
Non-Pressure Temperature Limit
This elbow is not rated for pressure applications and is limited to a maximum operating temperature of 140 degrees F. It suits gravity-flow DWV installations only and cannot be used for pressurised water supply or hot-water recirculation lines. Exposure above the rated temperature may deform the fitting.

Questions about this item
Will the Schedule 40 PVC hub need replacement if exposed to temperatures above 140 degrees F?
The fitting carries a maximum temperature rating of 140 degrees F; sustained exposure above that limit can soften the PVC and will require replacement.
At what pressure does the Schedule 40 DWV elbow reach its limit during continuous drainage flow?
This elbow is not rated for pressure applications, so any sustained internal pressure beyond incidental head pressure is the limiting factor.
How much heat does the white PVC hub generate when waste water runs through it all day?
The PVC material does not generate heat; it simply conducts the temperature of the waste stream up to its 140 degrees F rating.
