Copper Coil for Potable Water
This 20‑foot coil of seamless copper tubing is made to ASTM B88 Type L dimensions and meets NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF 372 for drinking‑water systems. The soft temper allows hand bending without special tools, so installers can route it through joists and around obstacles in residential or light‑commercial plumbing.
1/2 in OD × 0.035 in Wall
The tube’s outside diameter is 1/2 inch with a 0.035‑inch wall, giving a 0.375‑inch bore that matches 3/8‑inch copper tube size. That single dimension determines whether the coil fits existing fittings, valves and manifold ports in a potable‑water circuit.
Rated 623 psi at 200 °F
Under sustained pressure the tubing withstands 623 psi at 200 °F and is rated to 400 °F maximum operating temperature. The C12200 copper alloy retains strength during long‑term hot‑water circulation without the burst risk that can appear in short‑burst tests.

Questions about this item
What does the 623 psi rating mean when the tubing is installed in a hot-water system?
The tubing is rated for 623 psi at 200 °F, so it will safely handle typical residential hot-water pressures at that temperature.
Which standards govern the 1/2 in OD copper tubing for potable-water use?
It meets ASTM B88, NSF/ANSI/CAN 61 and NSF 372, certifying it for drinking-water systems.
What clearance is needed to uncoil and route the 20 ft length in a tight space?
The soft-temper coil bends by hand; allow enough room for the 20 ft length and a minimum bend radius of roughly six times the 1/2 in outside diameter.
