The myQ Smart Garage Hub connects a sectional garage door to a home 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi network and a smartphone app. It includes a wireless hub and a door sensor that report real-time open or close status and allow remote operation from anywhere with an internet connection.

Homeowners with a post-1993 opener that uses always-on photoelectric sensors and a router within 50 feet of the garage will gain remote control, scheduling and Amazon Key in-garage delivery. It does not work with Chamberlain Group openers that have a yellow learn button made between 2010 and 2021, nor with Linear openers or sensors that power down after closing.

Capacity and headroom

One hub controls a single garage door; a second sensor can be added for a second door. The system supports up to three guest users through the app. Bluetooth is used only for initial setup, and the hub is certified for use in the US only.
