Questions about this item

How do I install this bottom case cover on my MSI GL73 8RD, and which step causes the most problems?

Remove all screws from the old base, disconnect the battery cable first, then swap the cover; the step most people miss is forgetting to unplug the battery before lifting the mainboard.

What maintenance or replacement will this 17.3 bottom case need over time?

The plastic mounting posts can crack after repeated disassembly; if a screw boss breaks you will need a new bottom case, otherwise just keep the vents clear of dust.
