HP ENVY X360 15-AQ Top Lid Cover

This replacement rear case fits the HP ENVY X360 15-AQ and M6-AQ convertible models. It restores the structural shell that protects the display panel and hinge mechanism. The part arrives new and matches the original 856799-001 specification. Install it to return the lid to factory condition.

Replaces cracked or bent original lid

Swap this cover when the existing top case shows fractures, deep scratches or hinge-mount damage that compromises rigidity. The upgrade is worth it if the display assembly still functions and only the outer shell needs renewal. Buyers needing internal display components or a full screen assembly should source those parts separately.

Questions about this item

Does the 856799-001 cover match the hinge mounts on an ENVY X360 15-AQ M6-AQ?

The 856799-001 is moulded for the ENVY X360 15-AQ M6-AQ hinge pattern, so the screw posts and latch hooks line up without modification.

What is the correct order for re-attaching the display cable when fitting the 856799-001 lid?

Route the cable through the hinge channel first, seat the connector on the panel, then lower the 856799-001 cover and secure the hinge screws last.
