Questions about this item

How do I install the left and right hinges on my Inspiron 16 Plus 7620, and which step do people often miss?

Remove the display bezel, unplug the LCD cable and Wi-Fi antenna wires, then unscrew the old hinge brackets from the lid and base; the step most people forget is routing the antenna cables back through the hinge channels before tightening the new brackets.

What maintenance or replacement will the hinge set for the Inspiron 16 Plus 7625 need over time?

The hinges are mechanical parts with no serviceable lubrication points; if the lid becomes stiff, develops uneven gaps or makes cracking sounds, the entire left-and-right pair must be replaced as a set.
