Questions about this item

How do I install the L23161-001 top lid on my HP 14-CK or 14-CM laptop, and what step do people often get wrong?

Remove the screen bezel first, then unscrew the old lid from the hinges; the step many miss is routing the antenna and webcam cables through the new lid before tightening the hinge screws.

What maintenance or replacement will the L23161-001 Natural Silver cover need over time?

The painted finish can show scratches; if the colour wears through or a hinge bracket cracks, the entire top lid must be replaced as a single unit.
