Installation context and freed components

The cover mounts to the existing hinge brackets and screw posts on the laptop lid assembly. No additional brackets or adhesives are required beyond the original hardware. Replacing a damaged lid restores the structural shell that protects the display panel and webcam module.

Durability under daily handling

The black finish resists fingerprints and minor scuffs from regular opening and closing. The moulded plastic shell maintains its shape under the repeated stress of hinge torque during typical daily use. It is not designed for impact protection beyond normal laptop handling.

Questions about this item

What happens if the hinge mounts on the replacement lid crack during daily opening and closing?

The lid uses the original hinge-boss layout for MSI 17E2 and 17E4 chassis, so stress distribution matches the factory design and no extra reinforcement is required.

Does the black finish on the top lid show fingerprints or heat marks after hours of use?

The matte black coating is the same specification MSI uses on the GE75 and GP75 series, resisting smudges and staying cool to the touch under normal operation.

Which existing hardware must be reused when fitting this lid on an MS-17E1 or MS-17E4 unit?

You keep the original hinges, webcam module, antenna cables and bezel; the replacement lid (part numbers 3077E2A211Y311, 3077E2A213Y, 3077E2A213) bolts straight onto those parts.
